can fencing the tracks at both sides prevent such mishaps? will the elephants abide to the fences?
In Jalpaiguri Distt,elephants have even destroyed entire tea estate,acres of banana plantation & also rammed into numerous househols in Barbisha,Kumargram,Banarhat....uprooting fences will not be a problem at all for such a mighty animal
Sir , the 5 regions are not only forests , they are mainly used as a coridor for the animals to connect the entire forests on this region ( bengal, assam , bhutan & sikkim) , otherplaces the railway routes runs from the locality , it is not enters in deep & core forest.
