Bottleneck to go once works at PTJ Jn are over.
The yard re-modelling works at the cost of Rs 15 crore would help increasing the speed of trains on Irugur-Coinbatore- Podanur section. This will save 20 min. and help few more trains via CBE. More over one more platform would come up at PTJ Jn.

All CBE bound trains which were having stopping at PTJ Jn,. were now started using new platform [PF#1]. It is very easy to passengers to get out of station.

Land Acquisition of PTJ-POY GC stretch had been over come and now the wait was for funds. The GM itself personally appealed to RB to sanction funds to complete the PTJ-POY GC at the earliest in order to restore the rail connectivity of Western TN with Southern districts of TN.
Palani-Pollachi GC was in its final stage and likely to be opened by 2014 after CRS inspection and POY-PGT GC by March 2014.
