Thirumalairayanpattinam Railway Station service is to be started functioning soon. Since karaikal got its railway station, two express trains and four passenger trains are running. When karaikal station was inaugurated, railway officials mentioned that passenger trains have its stop in Thirumalairayanpattinam. Till now the station haven't opened for Public. Regarding this issue, all committee members, rail user association member, all political parties and public have decided to meet MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT of Puducherry to solve this issue. Or else they do strike for stoppage of trains.
