New Rule for cancellation

In case of e-tickets (confirmed or RAC), if the reservation charts have been prepared, online TDR is required to be filed for obtaining refund. No refund of fare shall be admissible on e- ticket having confirmed reservation in case the request for refund is filed online after two hours of the actual departure of the train.

Book and convey clear message to customer :
In case of RAC/CNF and charted...... No refund !!!
In case of Partial CNF either travel or bring certificate of non Travel from TTE to file TDR.

Reasons why Agents have a say in Ticket Reservation policy / rules framing of IR
1-When IRCTC have recognised authorized agents for booking of tickets, IR should also consider their practical difficulties with regard to implementation of Cancellation Rules.
2-Booking period is Fixed from 0800 hours to 2000 hrs. But Travelling Time is 2400 hours round the clock, and during night time too passengers are boarding / missing trains / cancelling their journey. So IR should provide some mechanism for initiating cancellation at Boarding station itself ROUND THE CLOCK.

नई दिल्ली।। अब रेल टिकट कैंसल कराना भी जेब पर भारी पड़ेगा। रेल मंत्रालय ने टिकट कैंसल कराने पर किराया रिफंड किए जाने के अपने नियमों में बड़े बदलाव किए हैं। इसके तहत यात्रियों को अब अधिकतम धन वापसी के लिए अपना टिकट यात्रा के कम से कम 48 घंटे पहले रद्द कराना होगा। इससे पहले यात्रा से 24 घंटे पहले तक टिकट कैंसल कराने पर पूरे पैसे (कैंसलेशन चार्ज छोड़कर) वापस मिल जाते थे।
