dear all, i need to travel from Chennai to Pune on 30th October 2010 in 1042 express in 2AC class. my brother will book the ticket in tatkal on 28th October in Mumbai. Since, only 1 day is in between, sending by courier appears risky. SO, is it possible that i get the pnr number and obtain a duplicate ticket at Chennai.

u plztell urbrother to book thru e tkt & get tkt printed at chennai in ur off/resi/any cyber cafe
dear sir, booking tatkal e-ticket (on internet) by individuals is highly risky. As you know, at 8am it is almost impossible to log into irctc site. Even if u r successful in logging, sometimes even a delay of 10 minutes, all the tatkal tickets are booked. so it will be better (or the only option) to book thru an agent, or some sources.

Pls tell what will be its charges if a tatkal tkt is there of Rs 1000 booked from RNC stn & is lost what will I incur in getting the tkt reissued at MAS stn
