Puduchery is one such capital with legislative assembly (but a UT) which doesn't have such trains. Apart from SFs and one GR.
count the number of trains that either originate or pass thru puduchery
Puducherey is connected to delhi howrah chennai mangalore bangalore mumbai thru weekly/daily/passenger trains.
Check the same for Gandhinagar. only connected to delhi, mumbai and indore

I agree with you... I am addressing the point "The only capital connected by railways but does not have any premier trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi, Duronto, Sampark Kranti, Rajya Rani, Jan Shatabdi......" Excepting Garibrath.
Especially I was addressing the word "ONLY". Nothing else but purely for informational purpose. Gandhinagar is still the only state capital connected to IR but not having premier trains terminating, Since PDY is a UT though has a legislative govt.
