please travel in the midst of May-June...all the scenes will vanish...But I agree...relative to the extreme hot climate from Samalkot-entire Andhra,VSKP is relatively cooler.
Even the RRI cabin just at the entrance of VSKP PF#1 is also quite elegant.....btw,what is an RRI? Is it a modernized version of the Cabin's that used to exist on either side of an important station?
well even i dont know much abt RRI, except for the fullform :P
anyways, this is what IRFCA has to say-
"Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) is the system used in large and busy stations that have to handle high volumes of train movements. In this, an entire route through the station can be selected and all the associated points and signals along the route can be set at once by a switch for receiving, holding, blocking, or dispatching trains"

RRI Office at VSKP controls a stretch of 10-12 km's of automatic signalling system. one such control office is at Gopalapatnam too from where the caution zone starts/automatic block section starts/ends.
At peak times, the trains enter VSKP in less 6-9 mins interval.
Some before time running trains are regulated at outer VSKP or lese near DVD/Thadi section n some near KTV/PDT sections.
