Nestled in the Sahyadri Ranges on the banks of river Darna, it is a tourist place with numerous health sanatoriums built by the Gujarati and Parsi community. Devlali is famous as a health resort and as a hill station. The Cantonment Board has various military establishments and and also has a small airbase.
