A superb location for rail-fanning, being a hill station offers magnificent views of Sahyadri mountains and Bor Ghats.

Monkey hill is ahead of the station. There are numerous other points all alongside the railway line which are safe for rail photography which give a superb view of Ghats, waterfalls (in monsoons) and trains.
