Make sure to taste the famous mangoes of Ratnagiri during summer. The Konkan region is known for its quality and tasty Alphonso Mangoes grown in Devgad, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg etc. Also equally mouth savoring are the Jackfruits that one must definitely try.
Do they sell on station stalls ? or private vendors?
Once passing through this station, halted for a while, but the quality mangoes , as available in market stalls, could not be found.
Still , to accord justice to this suggestion, will try once.

Yes mangoes are exported, but atleast here we get to eat good quality Ratnagiri and Deogad Alphonso (Haapus) Mangoes.
Usually depends on the time of train arrival...I have noticed them at stations though rarely... The main city market is the ideal place...
