Passengers planning to go to Guruvayur, (the abode of Lord Vishnu on earth) can alight here and take a bus or a passenger train from here. Guruvayur is around 23 kms from here. It is one of the most thronged and popular religious / pilgrimage destination in South India. One can also witness the daily procession of Lord on an elephant in this temple.

Also, Passengers from Mangalore & beyond (towards Mumbai) can alight here to catch a connecting train to Palghat, Coimbatore & beyond. A alternative connecting point...
