Way to reach the famous Marina Beach(the second largest beach in the world) by train from Chennai Central.
From Chennai Central main building(Red clock tower building) use the GH sub way to cross the Road and walk towards the perpendicular road. You will reach Park town station on the left hand side. Take a train which goes to Velachery. Get down in Chepauk which is the second station from Park Town.
Once got down, walk to the ground floor of the station and take the left side exit. (Opposite to MAC Cricket Stadium

exit). You will be seeing a perpendicular road with Red colour old government buildings on either side. Just keep walking on this road for some five minutes. You will reach Kamarajar Salai near PWD Building main entrance. Cross the main road and there you reach "The Marina Beach".. Enjoy!!!!

If you get down in Tiruvallikeni Station you will be too far from MGR Memorial and the shops in Marina beach.. Tats y I mentioned Chepauk rather than Tiruvallikeni Station

going by bus will be much simpler to travel on the complete beach road- 21G starting from depot is generally available early in the mornings from Central station itself to reach beach areas
