When travelling through Bangalore, get down at Cantt at 1st halt, enjoy nice dinner at some restaurant nearby (Cunnigham Road) and join train again in 2nd halt. Easily implementable if travelling in a group when 1 person can take care of luggage.

Though you have already said it, I would like to stress again one particular fact that, this idea could work if and only if you're traveling in a group. This will not only help in take care of luggage but also will update the other who is not on the train....

Thats because a train cannot have 2 official halts at the same station. But all people know that it halts twice.

It's not an official halt between LTT and SBC, but it does stop there all the time, I have witnessed this for atleast over 5 years sir...
