Somebody pls let me know whether it is compulsory to carry a I.D card for every individual passenger other than E-ticket or tatkal ticket.Sometimes it is found that vigiliance department personnels do ask for the same & if the passenger either ladies or children could not produce the I.D they penalise the passenger on the pretext of dubious passenger. What is the exact law?

It will suffice if ANYONE of the passengers booked on a single tkt is carrying ID proof. Not necessary that all the passengers should be carrying the same.
