I think that lalkaun Kathgodam track should be double due to following reasons-
1- b/w LKU-HDW only single line with no intermediate halt or loop line to facilitate train passing/crossing
2-due to single line speed will be slow and time consume will be more
3-when one train is passing from both ends lku-hdw other train lie idle for next 30-40mins trains...

So better introduce two small halts with two lines each (one for halt and one for run through) for the villages falling in between.
