I think that lalkaun Kathgodam track should be double due to following reasons-
1- b/w LKU-HDW only single line with no intermediate halt or loop line to facilitate train passing/crossing
2-due to single line speed will be slow and time consume will be more
3-when one train is passing from both ends lku-hdw other train lie idle for next 30-40mins trains

from both ends are made to wait on HDW or LKU..this is not good for long term as demand for no of trains from hdw and kgm will be increasing in coming years.

So better introduce two small halts with two lines each (one for halt and one for run through) for the villages falling in between.
