Those days if I remember correct Coromandal used to leave MAS at 8am. Around 11.30 was Bitragunta. Pantry used to pick up lunch there which was delivered directly to each coach not like nowadays where they load it to pantry. Pantry used to carry live chickens for chicken dishes. It was a horrible sight to see the birds in such inhumane conditions. The lunch was in steel trays no foil system then. If I remember correct the price was Rs7.50 for lunch.
