right Siddharth sir; these ghats are treacherous than any other. it was so cold that i barely could doorplate. the atmosphere was no less heavenly though. with mountain peaks at a hand's distance, it was superb. Doorplated for almost three hours at a stretch from Subhramanya to Sakleshpur.
not only mee\, the pilgrims who filled up the GEN coaches at Subhramanya also took out their mobile cams to click out. it was click-click everywhere with roars before each tunnel entrance.

Yep- experienced it just last month- it was an experience never to forget- you are certainly in lap of mother nature- except for your train all you hear is natural sounds and natural beauty and no-one disturbing you- the 50 kms from Sakleshpur to subramanya road eats away any amount you have spent on buying this train ticket
In my trip all doors were occupied- luckily i got one window and so did my mom- 57 tunnels and countless bridges is a remarkable achievement- hats off to all labourers who risked their lives in making this

I was in CC sir with some 9 to 10 passengers in it. i kept my luggage there, talked with the TTE who was a nice gentleman and offered me on his own any seat i liked. but practically i took the door. which was simply an awesome experience. I felt Nature so close to me. It was more Raw than Konkan also.
Only 9 to 10 pax great then to enjoy the beauty ride without much nuisance whereas at braganza ghats from kulem till dudhsagar falls its cool but when you reach the falls many tourists board the train including sleeper coaches foiling the remaining ride to castlerock. Those tourists then then the TTE going after them all that noise spoils your nature ride.
