Metro (₹11,368 crore, 32 km, 17 stations) will connect Tirumangalam to Othakkadai, including stations like Madurai Junction and Madurai High Court. CMRL is also pursuing an interstate metro line between Hosur (Tamil Nadu) and Bommasandra (Karnataka), with a feasibility report nearing completion. Salem and Tiruchy metro projects are currently paused due to feasibility concerns, and a Tirunelveli metro project is deemed unviable.

Madurai Metro (₹11,368 crore, 32 km, 17 stations) Tirumangalam se Othakkadai ko connect karega, jismein Madurai Junction aur Madurai High Court jaise stations shamil hain. CMRL ek interstate metro line bhi bana raha hai Hosur (Tamil Nadu) aur Bommasandra (Karnataka) ke beech, jiska feasibility report almost complete hai. Salem aur Tiruchy metro projects feasibility concerns ki wajah se abhi rok diye gaye hain, aur Tirunelveli mein metro project viable nahin mana gaya hai.
