To link two ticket bookings for a connecting journey, whether it's an eTicket or a ticket purchased at a PRS counter, or a combination of both starting from April 1st, 2019.
Steps
 Go to the main menu 'TRAINS' and select the option "Connecting journey booking".
 Find the train for your journey.
 Check the availability of seats on the train on the train list page.
 Click on the 'Book Now' button and enter the PNR of the connecting journey.
 You need to enter the PNR of an eligible ticket or a ticket booked under the same user ID to book
the connecting journey ticket.
 The input PNR will be checked and if it's eligible, the passenger details will be automatically
filled for booking the ticket.
Note: If you're booking the connecting journey against a counter ticket, you'll need to verify the OTP before
fetching passenger details.
Key features
1. The terminating station of the main journey should match the originating/boarding station of
the connecting journey.
2. The from station and boarding station of the PNR should be the same, and the to station and
reserved up to station should also be the same.
3. The passenger details, including name, should be the same on both PNRs. No changes to
name/age/gender are allowed for connected PNRs.
4. Only confirmed or partially confirmed tickets are allowed for booking the connecting journey.
5. The difference in days between the main journey and the connecting journey should not be
more than 5 days.
6. Two PNRs can be linked. The PNR with the first journey will be the main journey PNR, and the
one with the later journey will be the connected journey PNR.
7. To link a PRS counter ticket with an eTicket, the counter ticket must have a mobile number. In
such cases, an OTP will be sent to the mobile number on the counter ticket for authentication.
8. If any connected PNR is partially cancelled, it will be unlinked.
9. Tickets with TQ/PT/FT quota or current booking PNRs are not allowed for booking the
connecting journey ticket.
10. The minimum and maximum time difference between the scheduled arrival at the destination of
the main journey and the scheduled departure at the boarding station of the connecting journey is
1 minute and 5 days respectively.
11. Modifying the journey is not allowed for connected PNRs.
12. Changing the boarding station is not allowed for connected PNRs.
13. The VIKALP option is not allowed for connecting journey tickets.
14. Loyalty accrual booking for connecting journey is not allowed.

The VIKALP option and loyalty accrual bookings are also not allowed for connecting journey tickets.
