For 120 km this train will take 3.5 hrs in double line..is it supposed to facilitate BCM machine work & incorporated into its TT permanently

Because of Vande Bharat priority or whatever reason may be sectional speed has been increased to 130 kmph, whereas KGP CTC section witness heavy freight traffic with almost negligible third line which leaves very less time for maintenance. In such a scenario upgradation of tracks to 130 kmph is not at all a safe decision

Not only this particular section but all the sections where instead of infrastructure upgradation,hastily sectional speed is being increased to 130 kmph is prone to such mishaps. But this particular route of SER/ECoR is along the coastline,one of IRs oldest route, surrounded by mineral rich loading sheds. Almost same applies to KGP BSP section too,but pace of third line is much faster than KGP CTC section. This route also faces more passenger traffic,so tactically thirdline or DFC for this particular route should have been planned long ago. But instead of that happening,speed upgraded to 130 kmph which shares the same route with dense freight traffic

Sectional speed is likely to be raised to 130kmph in rail sections.

I'm waiting to see the whole train topples at Gumani curve at 130. Also 40 KMPH is not possible over Farakka Barrage
ER can provide only gimmicks nothing else . Entire BDC-NFK which was totally single line has been completely doubled except some 20 odd KMs & is a straight forward section unlike Khana loop which has 360° curves. Still diverted 13149 took 9.5 hrs to reach MLDT.

MailguardSG25~ 24052 blog postsWhat is the benefit of terminating few trains at Dadar instead of CSMT? Especially this train is often terminated at Dadar in the morning but taken to Wadi Bunder & in evening departs from CSMT itself. What is the benefit? Any CR specialist pls reply .

Ultimately the train needs to be taken to wadi bunder yard because in the night it will start from csmt only. Terminating at Dadar means terminating in the dead end line from there going towards wadi bunder means the train needs to be shunted back through the main line and ultimately it has to cover the distance from Dadar to wadi bunder. Not a single advantage. Pls any CR fan reply
