CRIS has eliminated the geo-fencing distance restriction for booking tickets in the UTS Application. Now, you won't need to struggle at the station, standing 20 meters away from the track or searching for the QR poster amidst crowded reservation counters to book your tickets.
This may cause some unlawful activities like after seeing the TTE approaching, passenger can buy a ticket for short distance while traveling in train to prevent challan and fine but still it will help many daily travellers to book ticket hassle-free at station.
But nice initiative.
