Member115207AKA281110~ 1318 blog postsI was thinking yesterday night, there is no space to construct a new Bridge between DAKE & BLYG. Swami Vivekananda Bridge/Willingdon Bridge/Bally Bridge is still going strong at 95 yrs old. At 2029, the bridge will turn 100 yrs & will be outliving its capacity period as per Indian Railways rule. Construction of this Bridge was started in 1925 & was thrown open for rail & road on 1929.

Kotipalli - Amalapuram & Vasista bridge A2 pillar to Naraspur 22 KM Land Acquisition is completed.
Still 35 KM Land acquisition is pending
Hope line upto Amalpuram from Kakinada is ready by July 2027 and trains operated.

I don't know which Route SCR / BZA proposed but this second time it rejected by both zones
Might possible because of ongoing redevelopment work at Somnath station.
