Kerala having 2 divisions was never the original problem but became one soon for 2 reasons:
1. The neighboring state towns (historically NCJ, later MAQ and POY after gauge conversion) were not getting the services they wanted.

Kerala did not capitalize on this headstart it got in the 1960-90 and they did not go for new lines to expand their railway map while the existing line (especially ERS-SRR sector) started reaching saturation by mid-2000s.
This was instead blamed on SR, and there was demand for the creation of a new Kerala-based railway zone with PGT and TVC divisions (which was not likely to happen as both divisions were loss-making due to the comparative volume of passenger traffic vs freight) and that was countered from TN's side calling for creation...

If 935 kms of railway lines deserve 2 divisions in the same zone (referring to Kerala), how many divisions would be required for a state having 2935 kms line (referring to Karnataka)? At present, karnataka has just 3 divisions but 5 zones are controlling. Even Uttar Pradesh may not be having this much complexity of zone and divisions.
It is necessary to create 2 more divisions and bring entire Karnataka into 2 zones from current 5 zones mess. Considering the practical geographical constraints, I am not suggesting being entire state railway lines to one zone.

Palakkad division was not as old as you think. It was formed by killing the then Podanur division in 1950s. Now, Podanur station is just a way side station without any importance -- all due to neglect.
Kerala with just 935 kms of railway line was pressurising for separate West Coast zone !!!. Whereas in Karnataka (2935 kms line) which is torn apart between 5 zones, nobody bothers about trains or divisions or zones as the concerned authorities are taken care by bus lobby!

PRYJ-NZM special does look like UPSK clone but with all SL coaches and slow TT. Tulsi Express clone I don't think is going to get introduced, could be wrong though
Well a lot of clone express trains are running in IR now as summer special clone trains. Totally a lot of rakes are required and more importantly more electric passenger locos are required, passenger trains running with WAG 9 loco in 130kmph route gets trolled heavily. So hopefully in this IRTTC meeting they had a good discussion over these topics as well.
Introduction of new trains in each division of South Eastern Railway, from 1 jan 2022 till now

Howrah-Kantibhanji Ispat is not a new train. It is an extension of Howrah-Titlagarh Exp to Kantibhanji
Remove train 18427 Puri-ANVT Exp from your list. It is not SER train and not even terminates/Originates in SER. It is an ECOR train just passing over SER and terminates in NR.
18629/30 Ranchi - Gorakhpur Weekly Express (To be introduced)
18617/18 Ranchi - Madhupur Intercity (Extended upto Asansol & Hatia and shift of PM at Asansol with new train number 13513/14)

Today's 20645 has covered Karwar to Udupi 190km distance in just 2:03 hours!!! Train was delayed due to loco failure of Panchaganga Express at Loliem.
I was hoping for it to cover that distance in 1½ hours to 1 hour 50 minutes. Since no traffic was ahead it was all clear.
