The 12619/20 Matsyagandha Superfast Express is a daily Superfast Express train running between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (Mumbai) and Mangaluru Central. The train was introduced on 1 May 1998 as Mangalore-Kurla Express. The Matsyagandha Express travels through some of the very difficult terrains of India. Matsyagandha Express ( Train number 02619 run as special) travelling from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai (LTT) to Mangaluru Central became first train to take Roha-Veer double line on Konkan railway route on 30 August 2021 at 7.30p.m.

#Agniveena Express: In Bangla it means “The Fiery Lute”. This is the name given to the collection of poems by the celebrated Bengali poet, musician, revolutionary and philosopher, Kazi Nazrul Islam. He was born in Burdwan district in 1899 and died in Dhaka in 1976. He is the national poet of Bangladesh, and also honoured in India.

mesmerising, scenic and beautiful regions and coast of country. Arabian sea on west and western Ghats on east, makes it very beautiful. The region is very much rich in bio diversity. The main occupation of the folks residing on these places is fishing due to coastal location. Fishing in great amount makes these region "to smell like fishes". Fish in sanskrit is Matsya while Smell means Gandha. Since train travels all it journey along the coast with smell of fishes, its named as Matsyagandha Express.
