From Trichy to Madurai afternoon Gurvayur express after that there are no daily express trains upto Vaigai in night. Morning you have TPJ Trivandrum and Antodaya express. Regarding bus road distance is less then train and good NH so you may find non stop TNSTC buses enquire in bus stand, advance booking will not be available.

Yes.. you are right.. DHN-ASN route will be better thn Adra route.. but this train will never start and if start train will pass through Adra line if started by SER..
Better SER start VB between RNC - SDAH via BKSC-DHN-ASN-NH-BP.. This will be very good route and will give enough patronage..

Actually seeing the Security & terrain constrains not all SVDK trains must not be extended to SINA. So important trains must get extended.
Important Trains:- 12425/26, 12449/50, 16317/18 (Himsagar aka NH 44 Express), 22461/62, 12471/72, 12473/74, 22941/42.
