They know its fate. Last time also it was Poor patronage & reverted back to Devanahalli. The timings doesn't set people to travel towards Chikballapur at that time & Second issue is Originating/Terminating point being YPR. If it was SBC, Some could have taken. So people will travel on buses only.
This is run just for the sake of being intro during a budget. 2 DEMUs came. That NMGA they quickly cut losses and ran railbus. This they are stuck with.

It would be incredible for Intercity travellers after Steel gets a 130 MPS upgrade. I do not know if there is any other train but this would probably be the first non premium intercity train in the country to run over 110 Kmph.
Yes. In every news they have mentioned Steel to get 130. Even that newspaper article was twitted by SER.
No not yet. Presently tripling is needed post TATA and the work is going on well. Even KGP TATA is still double but it is more needed post TATA.
To be honest the whole HWH-CSTM route needs to be tripled or quadrapuled. The whole route has to manage high amounts of Goods trains as well as passenger trains. Division of tracks after quadrupling for different purposes would massively benefit the railways, passengers and country's economy alike. Not just HWH-CSTM,routes like HWH-MAS, NDLS-MAS should also be quadrapuled if possible, or atleast be tripled.
+1. Yes the whole route is damn busy. I am very happy with CR's initiative to launch HS between Ajni and Pune. 3 days, 3 different slots. Passengers with flexible dates can chose as per their suitable timings. Some BSP NGP trains. HWH DURG trains like this type will be useful after the section is made tripled.
