yes it is possible. you perchase ticket from counter.
in reservation slip you write bhopal to satara.
then reservation up to pune.
then come down to onwards journey you write pune to satara and mention your class.etc.
are two ticket comeing in 1st. bpl to pune and and other pune to satara.
but this ficility is not avaiiable in e ticket.

जी नहीं सर, आप अगर सी सी क्लास की टिकट पर ऐ सी २-तिएर की तेलेस्कोपिक टिकट बनवाना चाहें तो यह पी आर अस से संभव है. दूसरी तरफ यहाँ यात्री अपर क्लास से निचली क्लास में यात्रा करना चाहता है इसलिए यह १००% संभव है क्योंकि रेलवे यहाँ पर यात्री से अपर क्लास भाडा वसूल रही है और यात्री अपनी मर्जी से निचली क्लास में यात्रा कर रहा है. आपकी सुविधा के लिए मैं यह कुछ टिकटों की कॉपी दे रहा हूँ.

I would like to modify a bit in my above reply. I am well aware of the nitty gritty of telescopic fare advantage. (Credit goes to the experienced bloggers of this website).
I was just trying to reply to the concern for the fare benefit as requested by the original blogger.
choice of forcibly travelling in a lower class isnt the concern of the original blogger. He was rather interested to know how he could avail the maximum benefit.
