In all locos we can see flash lights (yellow lights mounted beside main lights). What is the use of that & when are they used ?

its alertor!!!
its used to alert whenever an emergency brakes are applied.
when a loco moves with a train in wrong track it keeps on flashing its alertor to make sure tat Trackman sees it n cautions the other trains.
