Rate of Service Tax =12%
Rate of Education Cess =2% of Service Tax
Rate of Secondary & Higher Education Cess =1% of Service Tax

Rate of Service Tax:12.36% (12+0.72+0.36)
Till Now Rate of Service Tax on Railway Ticket is 30% of Service Tax so arrived at
Rate/Amount (to be calculated as per your journey class and journey lag)
Here Railways gives Charges Service Tax on base fare which is inclusive of Safety charges as well.
Thus in short Base fare plus all 'additional charges' are added and service tax of 12.36% is applied.
only 30% of the service tax is collected NOW.
