Reason behind this is not to identify the travelling people. i too can go 4 change of boarding point for your ticket by producing your id card. So establishing id is not important here. The TTE usually waits till only the next station. Purulia has a different quota, so if you get it changed, you wont get the ticket confirmed. Thats the whole point of getting the ticket dome from Purulia. But sir there is no any option to mention boarding information in E- ticket? I have done it many times. It is very much possible. For example I book from CTC in 12703 which is last station in HWH quota and then updated boarding to BBS. Note that to get quota benefit, you need to book the ticket first and later update the boarding. If you try to update the boarding while booking (both at PRS and internet), it will give you the quota which is applicable to boarding point and not the original source. | ||
