finally NWR starts upgrading long ignored jodhpur jaisalmer route.
this route is strategicaly very important for national security.
this route is strategicaly very important for national security.
jodhpur-jaisalmer strategically important route, there was a proposal to double this route for the benefit of armed forces, but later on that plan was scrapped.
I feel there is no urgent need to double this route. Single line is fine because there are very few passener trains and mostly freights. Railway can electrify it in future to save diesel fuel.
