Commuters in the city are now demanding the South Western Railway (SWR) run suburban services as tracks are free with most long-distance trains suspended.

Now slowly demand for starting suburban services is coming from everywhere including Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai & other places as well. It will be indeed a challenge to try and balance out the requests and increasing demand at the same time cases are also increasing and experts are saying that probably we have entered second phase.
As all regular trains are cancelled and few special only running, SWR can introduce some local trains on special basis between important stations. Like Ramanagaram to Bangarapet, Whitefield to Chikkabanavara, Kengeri to Yelahanka, YPR to Hosur, SBC to Devanahalli via Cantonment as well as via YPR, YPR to Doddaballapura, SBC to Tumkur, SBC to Kunigal, etc
