It has been decided to change the Terminal Station for 12815/12816 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express and 12875/12876 Puri-New Delhi-Puri Neelachal Express to Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) in East Delhi instead of New Delhi Station from 21st May 2018.
12815 Puri-New Delhi Nandankanan Express starting from Puri with effect from 21st May 2018 o­nwards will go to Anand Vihar Terminal instead of New Delhi Station.
12816 New Delhi-Puri Nandankanan Express from New Delhi will originate from Anand Vihar Terminal instead of New Delhi Station with effect from 23rd May 2018 o­n its scheduled days.

Requesty to indian rail minister to extend any one of these trains to chandigarh or amritsar as their are too much passengers who are going to puri and some time they not reach on time in the early timings.

Shri.Rajen Gohain, Union Minister of State of Railways (G) visited Southern Railway and conducted Performance review meeting at Southern Railway Headquarters in Chennai today, 22ndof January, 2018. Shri.R.K.Kulshrestha, General Manager, Shri.P.K. Misra, Additional General Manager, Principal Heads of Departments and Shri.Naveen Gulati, Divisional Railway Manager, Chennai Division of Southern Railway participated in the review meeting.
In his address, Shri. Rajen Gohain appreciated the initiatives of Southern Railway in providing various novel Passenger amenity works over Southern Railway. The minister called for a customer-friendly approach to attract traffic to the fullest potential. Southern Railway appealed the Minister to allot more MEMU, DEMU and other passenger coaches to meet the growing demands, being a passenger-oriented railway.
Shri.Rajen Gohain is o­n his way to lay foundation stone for three major doubling/electrification projects covering Trivandrum-Nagercoil-Kanniyakumari-Tirunelveli-Madurai and inaugurate/dedicate a host of passenger amenities at a function at Nagercoil Junction Railway station tomorrow (23rd January, 2018).

In order to clear extra rush of passenger traffic during Pongal festival, South Central Railway will run three special trains between Secunderabad-Tirupati-Secunderabad and Kakinada Town to Secunderabad as detailed below.

Train No. 02734 Secunderabad - Tirupati Special Train will depart Secunderabad at 19:30 hrs o­n 25thJanuary, 2018 and arrive Tirupati at 08:50 hrs o­n the next day.

Enroute, these special trains will stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Piduguralla, Guntur, Tenali, Chirala, o­ngole, Nellore, Gudur, Shri Khalahasti and Renigunta stations in both the directions.
These special trainsconsist of AC II Tier, AC III Tier, Sleeper Class, Second General Class Coach andLuggage cum brake van Coaches.
Kakinada Town - Secunderabad special train (01 Service):
Train No. 07002 Kakinada Town - Secunderabad Special Train will depart Kakinada Town at 18:00 hrs o­n 28thJanuary, 2018 and arrive Secunderabad at 04:10 hrs o­n the next day.
Enroute, this special train will stop at Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Nidadavolu, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Guntur, Sattenapalli, Piduguralla, Miryalaguda and Nalgonda stations.

Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway held a meeting with Shri Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Nellore and Other MLAs from Nellore and Kavali today i.e., 22nd January,2018. The Meeting was held to discuss various issues concerning Rail development in the area including redevelopment of Nellore Railway Station.
The issues which were discussed during the meeting are o­ngoing Railway Projects including Integrated development of Nellore Railway Station with modern facilities, provision of Road Under Bridges (RUBs), Foot Over Bridges (FoBs) at different stations, providing of new subway and additional escalators at Nellore station and enhancing of Passenger amenities including heightening of platforms at various Railway Stations in the area etc.

Vinod Kumar Yadav briefed the Public Representatives and interacted with media o­n the developmental works being undertaken by South Central Railway in the Nellore area and expressed that priority will be accorded by the Zone to meet public expectations. He also informed that the works related to redevelopment of Nellore Railway Station is going to start in the next fiscal and the project will be completed within 3 years period.
The MLAs who also attended the meeting are Shri P.Anil Kumar, Hon”ble MLA, Nellore (Rural) and Shri R.Pratap Kumar Reddy, Hon’ble MLA, Kavali.
Ealier, Shri Vinod Kumar Yadav made a visit to Nellore Railway Station along with Hon’ble MP, MLAs and Shri R.Dhananjayulu, Divisional Railway Manager, Vijayawada Division and undertook a detailed inspection of the Passenger amenities, facilities and other aspects. He also inspected the circulating area with a view to improve the facilities further.

Shri Ashwani Lohani, Chairman, Railway Board (CRB) visited Southern Railway today, 20th January, 2018 and conducted inspection at Chennai Central and Basin Bridge. The Chairman opened a passenger-friendly Display of Chennai Central station layout in front of Station Director’s room. At Basin Bridge Shri AshwaniLohani inaugurated the newly constructed staff canteen and Ladies Rest Room.
Shri Ashwani Lohani took stock of the new facilities being provided at Chennai Central such as the new lift, Pay & Use toilets, newly launched Jan Ahar, New cafeand Crew luggage box room.He was detailed about the o­ngoing and proposed works such as Crew lobby renovation, cable tray arrangements,IRCTC Food Plaza, App based Taxi stand, shelter connectivity between MMC, Chennai Central and Metro subways.

Chairman Railway Board had an extensive interaction with Gang staff and Loco Pilots. Shri Ashwani Lohani lauded the sincere efforts of the Gang staff and loco pilots in ensuring safe train operations.On inspection of the Running Room, the Chairman assessed that the cabin has requisite amenities.
Later in the day, the Chairman Railway Board visited Southern Railway Headquarters and held meetings with officials duly reviewing the performance of Southern Railway. He met representatives of recognised trade unions and various associations of staff and officers.
Railway officials at all levels were highly inspired and motivated by sessions held by Shri Ashwani Lohani.The Chairman Railway Board expressed high satisfaction over the various developments in ICF.He also appreciated the spirit of staff over Chennai Division of Southern Railway and lauded the team efforts in continuously upgrading various facilities.
Shri R.K. Kulshrestha, General Manager, Southern Railway and senior officials accompanied Shri Ashwani Lohani during his inspection and briefed him about the o­ngoing and proposed projects at Chennai Central and Basin Bridge.

First requested to provide Passengers Ticket Booking Counter in Chennai Central station .
It has a dubious records of the largest Terminal in Indian Railway which has no Ticket Booking Counter.
Even a Halt station has a Ticket Booking Counter.
In the Central station for booking Ticket to all the Terminated Trains,the passengers have to walk

along the crowds for 500 meter to the Moore Market sub urban Terminal station and back to the Chennai Central station through the sub urban entry and exit crowds .It consumes around 30 minutes time .
Some stalls have to be replaced as Ticket Booking Counter in the Chennai Central station.
