the route will be elevated. hence stations should ideally be elevated without interfering with the existing tracks.
as far as stops at virar and dahanu is concerned, I think these are well thought of. Today the suburban network on western line stretches upto dahanu with population increasing here exponentially.
Today if a person wants to go to virar from bkc by ola or meru, you will have to shell out a minimum of Rs. 1200 and would take a minimum of 90 minutes.

It's a totally unwanted project. That money could have been used for completing other pending projects. IR too will spend loads of money for this apart from the loan - for the land acquisition etc....

yaa.. I too was shocked,, it seems some rumour been raised... if Railways take such move then media atleast would go mad showing same news for 20 days like Acchedin toh anne se gaye aur AC coaches aa gaye.......
