The bridge at RajalukahThe 2'6' gauge South Eastern Railway branch from Rupsa to Bangriposi is an all time favourite of mine, and was operated by a fleet of smart Edwardian 4-6-2s. CC 666 (built North British, Glasgow 1906) was in its 73rd year of services when I photographed it in January 1979 near Rajalukah while working an extra service between Baripada and Bangriposi.The loco foreman at Baripada had kindly arranged for the train to stop first to allow me to cross the bridge in front of it so I could take this photograph.The line has subsequently been converted to broad gauge...
