This station is well known to the tourist's as the famous tourist spot "Susunia Hill" situated in Bankura district is easily accessible from this station.But wait, there is different 'STORY' with this small station also. One of the famous film of Bengali Film Industry, during 'Golden era' named as 'Ashite Asio na (৮০ তে আসিও না)' featuring Bhanu Bandyopadhyay was shooted here in Jhantipahari during 1967. That is what it gives this station a special 'Tagline'.
