Miscreants pelted stones at the Chennai to Trivandrum Express train on Sunday evening. The incident delayed the train by half an hour at the Jolarpet Railway Junction.
The Express train was commuting between Kavanur and Virunjipuram railway stations, when unidentified persons hurled stones at the train.
Sources said that in the incident, glass windows of the engine were shattered and the assistant engine driver was injured.
