Vistadome Coaches get overwhelming response – Register occupancy of 20,407 passengers and revenue of Rs.2.38 crores in October-December 2021.

route, these coaches with glass tops and wide window panes have proved to be a hit. 
Central Railway has registered an occupancy of 20,407 passengers registering a revenue of Rs.2.38 crore between October to December-2021. The CSMT-Madgaon-CSMT Janshatabdi Express is the foremost with an occupancy of 100% i.e. 7,754 passengers registering a revenue of Rs.1.40 crore. The CSMT-Pune-CSMT Deccan Express is close behind with an occupancy of 90.43% i.e. 7,185 passengers and a revenue of Rs.50.96 lakh, followed by the Deccan Queen with 5,468 passengers and a revenue of Rs.46.30 lakhs. The Deccan Queen is more popular in the Up direction i.e from Pune to Mumbai with an occupancy of 94.28%. 
The Vistadome coaches were first introduced in the Mumbai-Madgaon Janshatabdi Express in 2018. The immense popularity of these coaches led to the introduction of these coaches in the Mumbai-Pune Deccan Express with effect from 26.6.2021. Due to the huge demand from the passengers, the second Vistadome coach o­n Mumbai -Pune Route was attached to Deccan Queen from 15.8.2021. 
The unique Vistadome coaches, apart from having a glass roof top has a number of extra-ordinary features like wide window panes, LED lights, Rotatable Seats and Pushback Chairs, GPS based info system, Multiple Television Screens, Electrically Operated Automatic Sliding Compartment Doors, Wide side sliding doors for Divyangs, Toilets with ceramic tile flooring etc. Last but not the least, the viewing gallery. 
The Vistadome coach in the Deccan Queen has been refurbished and decorated by Matunga Workshop of Central Railway.  The Vistadome coaches have boosted tourism and have revolutionized the concept of luxury travel o­n Indian Railways.

There is a heavy demand for a train from SMVB/Yeswantpur to Hazrat Nizamuddin via Hubballi, Belagavi & PUNE.
Accordingly, it is proposed for the introduction of a new Daily Rajdhani Express train between Yeswantpur-Nizamuddin via UBL, BGM & PUNE.The actual day of the journey will be shared later.

Unfortunately Central Karnataka has the weakest Railway Infrastructure .The weakness is to the extent that it is more weak than the Backward States of India. Central Karnataka was a neglected state in terms of Railway Infrastructure and an awe is expreseed by people of other states when entered into discussions with them.The Railway Electrification and Doubling has done some Good to Central Karnataka to some extent in the recent years but definately not up to the mark. From the time of the British itself Railway in Central Karnataka was a metergauge but was recently converted to Broad gauge in very recent years.The Train like Rajdhani Express to Delhi and other trains via Hubli,Belgaum should have been introduced long back. Even after ages it is still under proposal. There was a set back in central karnataka for Non Avaibality of Broad Gauge gauge even it being viable. The Railway Electrification and Doubling of Railway lines on Miraj-Londa Section is still lingering. The Railway Electrification even of a Single Track is at Snail pace.God knows after how many years the Miraj-Londa Section will be completed.

The Sad part of the Story and also Surprising is that the Central Karnataka has the weakest Railway Infra Structure. The Extent of weakness of Railway Infra Structure in Central Karnataka is so much so that it has become a laughing Stock. Still to Add to the Agony to the Railway Infrastructure is it is more backward than the backward states of India. Introduction of Double Track ,Railway Electrification should have been done long Back .The same is the case of the Introduction of Rajdhani Express. The Work of Railway Electrification of Miraj-Londa Section is Lingering even for a Single Track. Leave aside Doubling and Electrification.God knows when it will be completed.

उक्त प्रस्ताव माननीय संसदीय कार्य मंत्री प्रल्हाद जोशी के आग्रह पर दक्षिण पश्चिम रेलवे ने रेलवे बोर्ड को भेजा है। केंद्रीय मंत्री का प्रस्ताव और आग्रह होने के कारण यथावकाश सम्मति भी मिलने की पुरजोर आशा है।
इस राजधानी एक्सप्रेस के कारण मध्य रेल के पुणे मण्डल को पहली और भुसावल मण्डलको एक और राजधानी एक्सप्रेस मिलने की आशा भी बढ़ गयी है।

All rajdhani should connects state capitals to national capital seven days a week, but with 30% different route within the state serving different parts of states.

In fact, BDTS CDG biweekly runs in that route and it is quite fast. It bypasses NDLS NZM and stops at Gurgaon and Delhi Cantt.
This route to be utilised more.

Pune Ahmedabad in 9 hours (Duronto) plus another 9.5 hours to Jaipur and another 3.5 hours to Delhi. Max 21 hours.
YPR SUR via KLBG 11 hours plus 3 hours to Pune.
Total 34-35 hours for Bangalore to Delhi via Pune, Mumbai outskirts, Vadodara Ahmedabad Ajmer Jaipur.
Think of connectivity, it will be excellent.

This Ubl-Nzm SF exp proposal will be much better from Ubl and Gdg-Sur section perspective, than Rajdhani, Ksk, etc which comes from state capital.

महाराष्ट्र से मजदूरी की तलाश में झारखंड पहुंचा मजदूरों का परिवार पलामू में फंस गया। परिवार बगैर भोजन किए करीब 48 घंटे तक शहर के अलग-अलग हिस्सों में भटकता रहा। मामले की जानकारी मिलने के बाद पुलिस अधीक्षक पलामू पुलिस अधिकारियों को भेजकर परिवार को भोजन कराया। इसके बाद अपने खर्च से वापस भेजने की व्यवस्था कराई।
दरअसल महाराष्ट्र के नागपुर के रहने वाले एक परिवार को काम दिलाने के बहाने एक ठेकेदार पलामू के मेदिनीनगर लेकर आया। परिवार में कुल 6 सदस्य थे। परिवार से वादा किया गया था कि पलामू में टेलीफोन लाइन बिछाने का काम चल रहा है। इसमें काम मिलेगा। पलामू पहुंचने के बाद ठेकेदार मजदूरों को स्टेशन पर ही छोड़कर फरार हो गया। परिवार पिछले 2 दिनों

से शहर में इधर-उधर भटक गया था। परिवार के पास खाने पीने से लेकर वापस लौटने तक के पैसे नहीं थे।
मामले की जानकारी मिलने के बाद पलामू के स्थानीय छात्र नेता ने पुलिस अधीक्षक पलामू को पूरे प्रकरण की जानकारी दी। पुलिस अधीक्षक के निर्देश पर ट्रैफिक प्रभारी आरएन सरस मौके पर पहुंचे। परिवार से मिलकर घटना की जानकारी ली। परिवार ने बताया कि उन्हें काम दिलाने के लिए रमेश शिंदे नामक ठेकेदार नागपुर से झारखंड लेकर आया। इसके बाद इन्हें स्टेशन पर छोड़कर फरार हो गया। ठेकेदार का मोबाइल नंबर तक बंद आ रहा है। परिवार में 2 महिलाएं,2 पुरुष और 2 बच्चे हैं। इन लोगों ने 48 घंटे से खाना तक नहीं खाया था।
परिवार की परेशानी समझने के बाद ट्रैफिक प्रभारी ने मामले की सूचना पुलिस अधीक्षक चंदन कुमार सिन्हा को दी। परिवार को पुलिस के अधिकारियों ने खाना खिलाया। इसके बाद पुलिस अधीक्षक ने इस परिवार को अपने खर्च से वापस नागपुर भेजने का फैसला किया। ट्रेन में डालटनगंज रेलवे स्टेशन से पुणे तक का रिजर्वेशन कराया गया । रास्ते में खर्च के लिए कुछ पैसे देकर परिवार को रवाना किया गया।

BENGALURU: A tweet by Vijeta Ananthkumar, daughter of the late Union Minister Ananth Kumar appealing to the Railway Minister to run a high-speed rail between Bengaluru and Mumbai set off a debate online. SWR said the time taken by the existing train could be speedened up but a specific hi-speed train was not in the pipeline. 
Vijeta, an environmentalist, tweeted: “Mumbai-Delhi distance is 1377 km and the fastest train takes about 17 hours. Mumbai-Bengaluru distance is 1120 km and the fastest train takes about 24 hours. @AshwiniVaishnav avare we need a high-speed train between these two mega cities @RailMinIndia.”

A senior railway official of SWR ruled out any high-speed corridor between Bengaluru and Mumbai. “In the recent proposal for nine high speed corridors there one proposed from Chennai to Mysuru via Bengaluru. However, there is a need to reduce the travel time between Bengaluru and Mumbai from 24 hours and this would be possible only if electrification and doubling is done throughout the route,” she said.   
In the SWR section, there needs to be electrification and doubling done between Bengaluru and Dhamavaram, the official said. "Other Railways too have similar constraints," she said.
Rail activist S Yogendra said, "We have been tweeting about the issue for nearly three years now. The present available train, Udyan Express, runs like a passenger train and takes 24 hours. Bearing in mind the upcoming inauguration of Sir M Visvesvariah Terminal, the Bengaluru Railway Divison should gift a much required Mumbai train to the city. A dedicated superfast train is definitely needed between Bengaluru and the financial capital of Mumbai which will cover the distance of 1134 km within 19 or 20 hours."

That is golden goose section for bus lobby, they don't want to loose it. Even railway officials clearly saying that they are not considering this route for high speed train.

Present trains have just too many halts. A mixed duronto (skipping SSNP) would take about 19 hrs while an ac duronto would take 17-18 hrs. GTL-SBC track has too many PSRs as it is hilly region (MG was thought to be optimal, then). They did not alter the alignment much to improve curves and inclines.

As is presently being planned, Mumbai-HYB and HYB-SBC HSR would take Mumbai-SBC time down up to 8 hrs. Any ways, that is at least 8 yrs away, and only if BJP rule continues.

Mumbai Delhi 1400 kms in 17 hours - not just in Rajdhani but in Garib Rath SF also. But it has just 6 stops enroute. 1100 kms Mumbai Bangalore has more than 30 stops.
So, a good SF should be run with limited stops - only at PUNE SUR KLBG RC GTL DMM.
After completion of DVG CTA TK line, a SF can run with stops at TK CTA DVG UBL BGM MRJ PUNE.

HAS SUR SF covers YPR SUR in 11.5 hours. Add 7 hours for SUR LTT. SO even today, if railways are willing, SF can run to cover the distance at 18.5-19 hours.
