Eight railway stations in Karnataka have been provided with public WiFi facility while similar facility is being planned for another 17 stations, Minister of State for Railways Rajen Gohain informed Rajya Sabha on Friday in a written reply.
Replying to a question by K C Ramamurthy (Congress), the minister said Bengaluru City, Mangaluru Central, Kalaburagi, Hubballi, Mysuru, Yeshwantpur, Bangarpet, Kengeri and Dharwad railway stations have been provided with WiFi facility.
The national transporter has plans to provide similar facility at Wadi, Bidar, Arasikere, Bagalkot, Banasawadi, Bhadravati, Birur, Gadag, Harihar, Hassan, Haveri, Koppal, Londa,
How come DVG which caters to more pax than HRR has been skipped ?.

WITHDRAWAL OF STOPPAGES
The stoppage provided at Chandagiri Koppal Halt, Palahalli Halt, Nidaghatta Halt and Ketohalli Halt for Train No. 16227/16228, Mysuru-Talaguppa-Mysuru Express has been withdrawn with immediate effect due to poor patronization.
CONVERSION OF CONVENTIONAL RAKE TO
Removal of 4 halts, but still not even 10mins speed up, then what is the use of removing these halts.
Railway has decided to convert Train No. 57641/57642 Solapur - Gadag - Solapur Passenger from conventional rake to DEMU rake with effect from 02nd December, 2017 from Solapur end and 03rd December, 2017 from Gadag end.
Railway has decided to postpone conversion of Train No. 57641/57642 Solapur - Gadag - Solapur passenger from conventional rake to DEMU till further advice due to technical reason at Solapur. Train No. 57427/57428 Guntakal - Raichur will run with conventional rake instead of DEMU rake. Train No. 57631/57632, 57649/57650, 57641/57642 will continue to work with conventional rake till further advice.
Temporary postponed to make new TT in according to extension to Hosapete. DEMU may go up-to HPT after revised TT
CR Solapur already converted two conventional ICF trains in to DEMUs, there legendary Solapur-Pune day and overnight passengers by removing sleeper class permanently. Dharwad Passenger is left to SWR now, i don't think Hubballi got any DEMU in last budget.

Reconnaissance Engineering -cum –Traffic survey for New line between Lokapur and Dharwad via Ramdurg, Sirsangi and Savadatti (95km).
You mean Saundatti? It comes to 104 Kms on a straighter path as per Gmaps. But land acquisition and funding and other headaches will take atleast 10 years. First they should complete UBL-DWR doubling, which is held up due to land acquisition.
UBL-DWR doubling is in progress. They are planning for this Dwr-Lokapur line to avoid dwr-bgm direct line and this will bypass bgm by joining directly at kudachi for north bound trains. DWR-Lokapur-Mudhol-KUD :(
More like direct connectivity to the industries of Lokapur to UBL and then on to SBC.
UBL-DWR when will they complete?
It will take time, as i see no station work has been done for Unkal. Its good if they complete it before next year elections
When will Hubbali-Dharwad BRTS project get completed ??
Ha Ha BRTS in IRI, it will take another 2-3 years
