Yes. There will be pollution from other vehicles and EOG. But apart from passenger trains, many freight trains use this route. So there will be some reduction in diesel bill for IR. I too know that this route there will not be much different for passenger trains after electrification

So Any how IR start paying unit rate of using Electricity which is produced by majorly conventional sources like coal Uranium, water so indirectly one source is being used to produce another one it's like just Transformation of energy with losses.. Anyway it's just good discussion we having on energy conservation for IR.. We need to know unit cost of usage of deisel and usage of Electricity and also need to know how much cost it takes to generate electricity and what sources being consumed..
