It is not a busy station. I could get ticket right before the train. Had a friendly chat with the station assistant. The station is clean and well maintained by local hockey club. Downside is that it is a fair way away from the town and has no auto/bus/taxi facility, because it is not a busy station.
IR should plan a stoppage at Samrala. It is very old tehsil and big stations like Khanna and sahnewal are very near by. Also It is on Chandigarh road so catching a bus is also easy.
