Chiplun railway station is at a little bit odd place....If you come to Chiplun from Guhagar(50km),get down at Chiplun ST stand and again catch a bus towards Khed,ask the conductor to drop you near Chiplun station....The bus will drop you on the highway and a 5 minute walk through a lush green path will lead you to Chiplun station....Bus fare is 6rs per passenger....
Chiplun is one of the major township in the Ratnagiri district situated on the bank of the Vashishti river. You can go to various religious and historical places like Prashuram temple,Velneshwar Shiv temple, Guhaghar etc. Lote Parshuram industrial area is also close by.
if you want to go to main st stand city and have no/light luggage just come outside the station and walk towards highway its about 500 to 800 m you find MSRTC bus stop all local buses halt their which goes towards Chiplun as well as Khed city. and there is another option come out of the station apposite to the highway side autos are available Rs.20 per person to the main MSRTC stand.
