please wait...Translate to EnglishYo, I'm gonna break down the deal with the 5 platforms at Katpadi junction. So, based on my own experience hanging out there, yo, this is the usual setup! But, depending on when it's hella busy or an emergency, Platforms 3, 4, and 5 might switch things up a bit. Hit me up with any advice you got, yo! Here's the gist:
- Platform 1: Trains from Chennai, Arakkonam, or Kanchipuram head to Jolarpettai line. Trains rolling in from Renigunta line to Jolarpettai go through here too.
- Platform 2 & 3: These platforms handle trains bouncing between Jolarpettai, Arakkonam, Chennai, or even Renigunta. Basically, they're the hub for all those lines, including Villupuram and Vellore.
- Platforms 3, 4, & 5: Here's where you catch trains going to Renigunta or Villupuram, sometimes with a quick stop at Chittor or Tirupati. Plus, the Rake reversal sometimes happens here for some routes. There's also a special Passenger/MEMU train from Katpadi to Jolarpettai line.
- Platforms 4 & 5: If you're looking to hit up Renigunta or Villupuram from Vellore, these are your go-to platforms. You'll also find the reverse trip on these lines. Oh, and there's that Katpadi origin Passenger/MEMU train to Villupuram or Vellore!
And hey, any nonstop or passing trains? They're cruising between Platforms 1 and 2. Cool, right?
