Station is very small. But upper class waiting room is available.
Though it is very clean water is not available in the whole station area.
No more options for food. You will get only Pakoda (Bhaji) and Idali till 7:30. After Golgumbaj departs station premise will be like hell.. no public there after apart from running staff.
Better to carry food from the Badami...

Alight here for the beautiful Chalukyan rock sculptures- Fantastically carved out of the rocks, its a beautiful sight to see the art and architecture and it also brings about the interest the rules had in Artts- The caves are beautifully carved out of the rocks and located in Centre of Badami Town about 4 kms from this station. NWKRTC City services connects to the bus stand from where share autos take you to the structures. A must place of visit for history architectural as well as photography lovers

To go from here to Bus station it is 4.1 kms.There are only autos from here and you have to argue with them for a cheap price.
It is impossible as the minimum nowadays set is Rs 25(main cities and towns) for 1.9km and actually in rural areas they charge much more as they don't get enough passengers.
If you are reaching here early morning and haven't booked an accommodation, you can get key's of retiring room from duty station master,to get fresh. thou the room is clean, toilets are in a bit bad shape,but usable.
Alight here for sight seeing for three days for old Dravidian architecture. Historic Chalukya dynasty temples and bastis can be found here.
