Even though this station bears the name of the town, still its not much preferred by keonjhar localities. They prefer the Naranpur station more due to transportation feasibility.
Generally two trains connect this district HQ with Bhubaneswar- BBS Fast Passenger and Barbil intercity- both of which halts at Naranpur.
So if you have to go to Cuttack-Bhubaneswar, and wish to take the Morning fast passenger, then at morning hours the Auto wallas will drop you at Naranpur station. More crowd boards both these intercity type trains from Naranpur station, not from Keonjhargarh
