The railway canteen is a very good one. Transportation :- Those who need to travel to all routes except MC road can get buses in front of station. There is a KSRTC sand exclusively for buses to Kozhnecherry/Pathanamthitta and Pamba. Those who need to travel along MC road can walk up to KSRTC stand (5 mins walk) Lodging - Chengannur town is 2 mins walk from station. You can have any kind of stay. Sight seeing- Its toursim bound station. Safety and railfanning- There is always RPF on station premises,so your rail fanning may be hindered, but the station has stop for almost all trains.
******For Sabarimala Temple Traveller******* You can alight here for Sabarimala temple. All the time (Including 00:00 am to 04:00 am typical hours) Kerala transport buses available till Pampa. Fare Rs. 89/- for Adult. Travel time 3hrs with break for Tea at Ghat section. Bus will halt for final stop near Pampa river (You have to take steps down to reach pampa river - 100mtrs). Take a bath in river and you can deposit your luggage at cloak room and start climbing the hill. By walk takes 3 hrs to reach approx. There are two ways to reach.
