On every Sunday, DMW provides Bus Service between Patiala Railway Station and DMW Workshop for Passengers deboarding from 14711 and 14731 respectively. Bus originates from PF1A side and stops at (Colony-2 Gate-1/DMW Lake, Type-2, Type-1/2, Type-3, Type-4, DMW Hospital/Colony-2 Gate-2, DMW Halt/DMW ROB, Type-5/4S, Ekta Nagar LC) respectively. Other than DMW, if you wanna go Bajwa Colony, Jagtar Nagar, Aman Nagar, Virk Colony, Vijay Nagar, Darshan Nagar or Ekta Nagar you can board this bus. Fare is ₹5 per person.

The RLDA or the Rail Land Development Authority of India has floated a tender to construct a Multi Functional Complex at Patiala Station, which shall comprise of Food Joints, book shops, Banks, ATMs and other amenities. The bid has been opened on 11th June 2015, and work may start soon. Around 1381 sq meter of site has been marked at station premises, with built up area around 2072 sq meter.

Eagerly Waiting to see Electric poles, Wire hovering over our "Clean Station". Once done, this can be one of the cleanest stations of India along with doubling + Electrification.. Cheers!!

Thos days are near :) !! its getting closer !! RVNL has already started working for this section, they are doing modification to the power lines etc. Its kinda pre-OHE works, they are also working in tandem with PSPCL for removal / relocation of overhead power lines crossing the track including 11k and 33k lines. The old BSNL lines have also been converted into 6-Quad Cable, which are running along the track on poles, this is also been done to avoid distortion to the communication lines with 25Kv OHE. This cable atlas reached PTA from DUI side two days back with a team of 6 trenchers and a supervisor , who were bringing this cable from Dhuri to PTA, trenching and laying it.
