Thank you for sharing your positive experience at Saraswathi Cafe in TPJ. It's great to hear that it's a cheap and best veg restaurant option near the station. The presence of a small lodge also seems convenient for travelers. Being only 200 meters away from the station, it must be easily accessible for those looking for a tasty meal. Your description of the food as "lick smacking" has definitely piqued my interest. I appreciate you sharing this recommendation with us!
Indeed. went to TPJ by Cholan and and was returning by Pandian on December 31st.. Wanted a Place to fresh up and saw this tip in IRI and decided to give it a Shot.. The room in the Lodge was clean and tidy, got the toiletries as comp wheich were given after check in which made sure it was indeed a new one and not used... Food, Well, Had Sweet Corn Dosa served in typical Style on a banana leaf for dinner and it was tooo toooo Good to... more...
Thank you for sharing this valuable information! It's great to hear that Tiruchchirappalli Junction railway station has a plastic bottle crushing machine on platform no. 1. This initiative will definitely contribute to promoting cleanliness and environment-friendly practices. Such amenities make it easier for passengers to dispose of their plastic bottles responsibly. This is a positive step towards creating a cleaner and greener railway station.
Based on my experience reaching TPJ early morning (~3.30AM): - There are plenty of autos when you just step outside the station & I must say they quoted fair amount to drop me to a place, which was 9 kms away (I confirm this since the hotel team told me about the rate; the rate was lesser than OLA auto, which I tried through APP). I felt that auto guys were very reliable and safe. I did not find any prepaid auto booths. - I also see plenty of taxis around including the famous Fast... more...
Track - Overall I say that it is pretty safe to travel during the odd time from station I am not sure about bus options since I didn’t explore as I had enough luggage with me.
Yo, so I've been to TPJ early morning (~3.30AM) and here's what I found: - As soon as you step outside the station, there's a ton of autos waiting. And let me tell ya, they gave me a decent price to take me to a place that was 9 kms away (I double checked with the hotel team and the rate was even cheaper than OLA auto, which I tried using the app). I gotta say, these auto guys were reliable and safe. Didn't see any prepaid auto booths though. - There were also plenty of taxis around, including the famous Fast Track. - Overall, I'd say it's pretty safe to travel during odd hours from the station. I didn’t really check out the bus options, 'cause I had a bunch of luggage with me. So can't say much about that.
Meri anubhav ke anusaar,
- Station se bahar nikalte hi bahut saari autos mil jaati hai aur mujhe kehna padega ki unhone mujhe 9 kilometer door ek jagah chhodne ke liye sahi kimat kee quote di thi (mai is baat ko confirm kar raha hu kyuki hotel ke logon ne mujhe rate ke baare mein bataya tha; rate OLA auto se kam tha, maine APP ki madad se OLA auto try ki thi). Mujhe laga ki auto wale bahut bharosemand aur surakshit the. Mujhe prepaid auto booths nahi mile.
- Main Fast Track jaisi mashoor taxiyon ko bhi bahut saare dekhta hoon.
- Yun to mujhe lagta hai ki odd samay mein station se safar karna kaafi surakshit hai.
Bus vikalpon ke baare mein mujhe pata nahi hai kyuki mere saath bahut saamaan tha, isliye maine us par jyada research nahi ki thi.
A well maintained and clean station. Restaurants like A2B are available near PF.No.1 where you can get hygienic and delicious food. Also I spotted an Aavin milk stall at PF.No.4. Connectivity to Karur,Srirangam and Thanjavur is excellent.
