Yes, this is the railhead where one should get down to reach Alampur, on the banks of River Tungabhadra, to see the Jogulamba Temple as well as Sangameswaraswamy Temple. Nearest Major Rail Head is Kurnool City on the otherside of Tungabhadra at 15 kms distance by road.

near the river bank of Tungabhadra and Shiva temples nearby...just for darshan one can travel in Tungabhadra exp/17023 from sc/kcg and all psgr trains.
for transportation there will be number of share autos outside the halt station which is near the road...can complete darshan and board the Tungabhadra exp/17024 in return...nearby city is Kurnool
