Khajurao is only accessible from Kanpur via a passenger train. The state capital has no access to this old city. Gorakhpur technically, has a special train running train running to it, but it takes a longer route plus special trains are bound to be withdrawn any time.

give access to passengers from Gorakhpur - Lucknow Line a proper connectivity to Khajurao. Itll run at evening from GKP so as not clog the LKO bound lines too much. Itll also provide an evening connectivity b/w GKP and LJN. Plus, since Lucknow Jn is relatively empty at 2000 hrs [Lucknow Chhapra and Pushpak go an hour after; a passenger comes from Sitapur at the same time making it 3 platforms occupied. No other weekly occupies uses the time slot; thus 3 platforms are easily vacant in case train goes late even]; it can easily be accomodated there. I could have used the loop from Aishbagh but I wanted passengers to properly access Lucknow Jn instead of being huddled in the middle.
